Scotland’s last Auschwitz survivor leaves £500,000 gift to fund quantum research
Judith Rosenberg – who died in January aged 98 and who was Scotland’s last Auschwitz survivor – left in her Will a legacy gift to the University of °ÙÐÕ²ÊƱ.

MSc Quantum Technologies
This Masters-level degree provides you with the skills to participate in the second quantum revolution with control of quantum features enabling novel functionalities for industrial products and advanced research. The Department of Physics is involved in all four UK Quantum Hubs and numerous UKRI and Innovate UK grants. As a result, we cover a wide range of quantum technologies based on cold atoms, photonic devices and semiconductor structures.

Central role for °ÙÐÕ²ÊƱ Physics in new initiatives
°ÙÐÕ²ÊƱ, via the Physics Department’s Optics Division and the Institute of Photonics, is the only institution in the UK to be represented in all four EPSRC Quantum Technology hubs in both phases of funding.
